研究目的
To evaluate postoperative outcomes and visual performance in intermediate distance after implantation of a +1.5 diopters (D) addition, aspheric, rotational asymmetric multifocal intraocular lens (MIOL).
研究成果
The new aspheric, asymmetric, +1.5 D near addition MIOL offers good results for distance visual function in combination with good performance for intermediate distances and functional results for near distance. Standardization of reading performance is important for future studies to effectively compare different types of multifocal IOLs after presbyopic correction.
研究不足
The study was non-comparative and not randomized, with a small sample size. Further prospective studies comparing the results of this type of IOL to a monovision approach would be helpful.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Bilateral cataract surgery with implantation of an aspheric, asymmetric MIOL with +1.5 D near addition. A complete ophthalmological examination was performed preoperatively and 3 months postoperatively.
2:5 D near addition. A complete ophthalmological examination was performed preoperatively and 3 months postoperatively.
Sample Selection and Data Sources:
2. Sample Selection and Data Sources: 60 eyes of 30 patients with bilateral cataract seeking spectacle independence in intermediate distances.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Salzburg Reading Desk, IOL Master v.4.3, Goldmann applanation tonometry, slit lamp examination, corneal topography.
4:3, Goldmann applanation tonometry, slit lamp examination, corneal topography.
Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
4. Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow: Preoperative and postoperative examinations including manifest refraction, keratometry, UDVA, CDVA, UIVA, DCIVA, UNVA, and DCNVA. Reading performance was evaluated using the Salzburg Reading Desk.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
