研究目的
Investigating the impact of molecular order on polaron formation in conjugated polymers and how blending with PCBM affects this process.
研究成果
The study provides direct spectroscopic evidence that polaron formation in ordered P3HT results in less pronounced changes in molecular conformation compared to disordered P3HT, indicating smaller lattice relaxation. Blending P3HT with PCBM disturbs polymer crystallinity, reducing polaron density, which is partly restored by thermal annealing. These findings are consistent with higher charge carrier mobility in crystalline polymer materials.
研究不足
The study focuses on P3HT and its blends with PCBM, which may not be directly applicable to other conjugated polymers. The impact of environmental factors like humidity and temperature on polaron formation was not explored.
