研究目的
Studying the free space coupling of 3D (spherical) mirror based on the propagation of a Gaussian beam and the design and fabrication of 3D mirror in Optical MEMS.
研究成果
The study demonstrates efficient coupling of light using monolithically integrated 3D silicon micromirrors without the need for assembled lenses. The 3D micromirrors provide high coupling efficiency over 300 micrometers and can achieve 100% coupling efficiency, which is beneficial for applications like tunable lasers. The comparison between flat, curved, and 3D micromirrors highlights the superior performance of 3D micromirrors in coupling Gaussian beams.
研究不足
The fabrication of 3D micromirrors directly on the sidewall of a deep etched structure remains a challenge. The study focuses on monolithically integrated solutions which may have limitations in terms of scalability and integration with other optical components.
