研究目的
To investigate the room-temperature multiferroic and magnetodielectric properties of SrTiO3/NiFe2O4 composite ceramics, focusing on inducing ferroelectricity through strain effects from the magnetic phase.
研究成果
The study successfully induced room-temperature multiferroic properties in SrTiO3/NiFe2O4 composites through strain effects, with significant ferroelectric polarization and a magnetodielectric change rate of 1.6%, demonstrating potential for device applications.
研究不足
The strains introduced are smaller compared to films, and high NFO content leads to increased leakage currents, limiting ferroelectric measurement. The magnetodielectric change rate is modest, and future work is needed to improve strain and interface coherence.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study used a sol-gel method combined with two-step calcination to synthesize composite powders, avoiding severe chemical reactions and introducing strains.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Composite ceramics with xNiFe2O4 ? (1-x)SrTiO3 (x =
3:04, 05, 1, 2 mole ratios) were prepared. Raw materials included Ni(NO3)2, Fe(NO3)3, (C2H3O2)2Sr, and Ti(C4H9O)List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Equipment included a ferroelectric tester system (Precision Premier II, Radiant Technologies, Inc.), LCR Meter TH2827C (TongHui Inc.), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM100, YingPu Co. Ltd.), Renishaw InVia Raman Microscope, Tecnai G2 F30 TEM, and Empyrean XRD. Materials were analytical grade chemical reagents.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Powders were synthesized, mixed with PVA, compacted into pellets, sintered at 1350°C, polished, and electrodes sputtered. Measurements included XRD, M-H loops, P-E loops, Raman spectra, TEM/EDS, and dielectric tests under magnetic fields.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Data were analyzed using Williamson-Hall model for strains, and standard methods for magnetic, ferroelectric, and dielectric properties.
