研究目的
Simultaneous detection of different probe molecules using silver nanowires as SERS substrates.
研究成果
The synthesized silver nanowires exhibit high SERS activity with low detection limits and good linear responses, enabling simultaneous discrimination of probe molecules and their mixtures via PCA, indicating potential for sensing applications and nanoelectronics.
研究不足
The study is limited to specific probe molecules (crystal violet, malachite green, nile blue chloride) and laser excitations (514.4 nm and 784.8 nm); potential limitations in generalizability to other molecules or conditions, and the synthesis method may require optimization for scale-up.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
A modified seed mediated synthesis method was used to synthesize silver nanowires at room temperature, with variations in NaOH concentration to control morphology. SERS activity was tested with probe molecules using visible and NIR laser excitations, and principal component analysis was applied for discrimination.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Silver nanowires and nanoribbons were synthesized; probe molecules (crystal violet, malachite green, nile blue chloride) and their mixtures were used for SERS measurements.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Materials included cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), sodium borohydride (NaBH4), silver nitrate (AgNO3), L-ascorbic acid, sodium hydroxide, double distilled water. Equipment included JASCO V-550 UV/VIS spectrophotometer, NOVA NANOSEM450 FESEM, Bruker D8 ADVANCE XRD, LabRAM HR 800 Spectrometer with Argon-ion and solid-state lasers, and Matlab software for PCA.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Synthesis involved preparing seed particles with AgNO3, CTAB, and NaBH4, then adding to growth solution with CTAB, AgNO3, ascorbic acid, and varying NaOH concentrations. Purification by static precipitation. SERS measurements involved adding dye solutions to colloidal suspensions, recording spectra with lasers, and performing PCA on spectral data.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Analytical enhancement factor (AEF) calculation for SERS, linear calibration fits for sensitivity, and principal component analysis (PCA) using Matlab for discrimination of molecules and mixtures.
