研究目的
To assess Direct current (DC) and Alternative current (AC) based Solar Micro-grid in rural community, including an overview with case studies, sensitivity analysis compared to decentralized Diesel Genset (DG), and opportunities and challenges in implementation.
研究成果
Solar micro-grids offer a viable alternative for rural electrification with benefits such as lower operational costs and environmental friendliness compared to diesel gensets. However, implementation faces challenges including maintenance, product quality, and financial barriers. The internal rate of return for solar micro-grids is favorable, especially with subsidies, making them superior in certain contexts despite higher initial capital costs.
研究不足
The study is a review and does not involve primary experimental data; it relies on secondary sources and case studies. Sensitivity analysis excludes environmental economics. Challenges include maintenance issues (e.g., panel cleaning, charge controller regulation), quality control of off-grid products, geographical accessibility, and financial barriers such as lengthy procurement and loan processes.
