1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved the synthesis of molecularly imprinted 3-mercaptopropionic acid-capped Mn-ZnS quantum dots (MPA-MnZnS-QDs-MIPs) for the detection of CYN. Two fragments mimicking the partial structure of CYN were used to synthesize the MIPs.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Water samples and algae culture samples were used. The algae culture samples were prepared by culturing four Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii strains.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Instruments included an Agilent 1100 HPLC system, field emission transmission electron microscope (FETEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer, and Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrophotometer. Materials included zinc sulfate heptahydrate, manganese (II) chloride tetrahydrate, sodium sulfide, 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA), and ammonium hydroxide.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The synthesis of MPA-MnZnS-QDs, preparation of MPA-MnZnS-QDs-MIPs and NIPs, phosphorescence measurements, and application tests in algae culture samples were conducted.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The phosphorescence intensity was measured and analyzed to determine the concentration of CYN in the samples.
