研究目的
To develop and experimentally calibrate a Kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) model that can fully predict the current–voltage (J–V) curve of a disordered organic solar cell under solar illumination.
研究成果
The KMC model successfully predicts the J–V curve of a disordered organic solar cell by calibrating the injection barriers, blend morphology, and charge transfer recombination rate with independent experimental data. This approach provides insights into the nonequilibrium phenomena and recombination dynamics in organic solar cells.
研究不足
The presence of injecting contacts and the importance of charge recombination when the internal electric field is low pose computational challenges. The model requires experimentally justified assumptions on injection barriers, blend morphology, and charge transfer kinetics.
