研究目的
To analyze and assess the refractive outcome after transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (TransPRK).
研究成果
The TransPRK led to similar results to intrastromal refractive surgery techniques but with fewer clinical complications.
研究不足
The study did not objectively measure postoperative pain, and the preoperative epithelial thickness was not measured in individual cases. The software for inputting preoperative epithelial thickness was not available at the time of the study.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study used an aspheric, aberration-neutral ablation profile and a standardized epithelial tissue removal of 55 μm in the center and 65 μm at a radius of 4 mm as well as SmartPulse technology.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Only untreated eyes with preoperative best corrected visual acuity equal to or better than
3:8 were included. List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
AMARIS 1050RS laser, ORK-CAM-Planning software, SIRIUS-Topographer, PERAMIS, BSS DISTRA-SOL, Air Optix Night & Day contact lenses.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The treatment was performed with the AMARIS 1050RS laser, follow-up examinations were performed after 1 and 4 days, after 1 and 3 months and after 1 year.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The refractive outcome was analyzed, including predictability, safety, and stability of the results.
