研究目的
To provide an overview of syntheses and applications of anisotropic metal chalcogenide (MC) nanomaterials, focusing on tuning their morphologies through various routes and exploring their potential applications.
研究成果
The future direction of MC lies in the development of new potential applications in parallel with new discovery of unexplored properties. Despite challenges, the precise shape control and heterostructure design offered by solution-based synthesis present significant advantages for the development of anisotropic MC nanomaterials.
研究不足
Challenges include precise understanding on the surface energy decrease by surfactants, adopting chemical transformations in the nucleation and growth of MC nanocrystals, removal of organic surfactant, kinetic study on the chemical transformation, scale-up of production to meet the industrial need, and eco-friendly synthesis.
