研究目的
To develop a complete code-package for gyrotron simulation to analyze its performance, including design simulations for gyrotron’s interaction cavity, RF window, and essential mode calculations.
研究成果
The UGDT code-package has been developed to facilitate the design process of a gyrotron and deeper analysis of the mode evolution inside the cavity. It has been validated by comparing the results with published results, showing consistency in terms of power level and mode competition phenomena. The code is a better tool for the optimization of the design parameters of the cavity due to its less simulation time compared to PIC simulations.
研究不足
The current version of the UGDT time-dependent code works with a fixed field shape. The full self-consistent simulation in time domain will be included in the continuing UGDT version upgrade in near future.
