研究目的
To give a theoretical justification for a new way of intradermal photosensitization by fractional laser photothermolysis (FFLP) for photodynamic therapy of skin diseases.
研究成果
The proposed new method of percutaneous photosensitization by reduced doses of expensive photosensitizers might have a high clinical, aesthetic, and economic efficiency. It combines the advantages of laser non-ablative photothermolysis and photodynamic therapy, optimizing local collagenogenesis and immune response, and reducing phototoxic complications.
研究不足
The method requires experimental confirmation of transdermal transport of photosensitizers in vivo with histological examination of skin of the experimental animals after PFLP at different modes of laser exposure. The side effects include transient erythema and peeling of the skin for 1 week, reversible swelling for 24 hours, and episodes of exacerbation of herpetic infection.
